The medina

The medina was designed by Theodore Cornut in 1764, under the orders of Sultan Mohamed Ben Abdallah. It is surrounded by ramparts, the main lines are straight, but the narrow streets only allow movement of pedestrians and carts. Its streets are full of shops, you can purchase Argan oil, spices, Tuya wood marquetry. Do not miss the picturesque fish market in the center of the old city.
